Complimentary event credentials

Op de website van de Educause las ik op de pagina's voor de media dat:

Representatives of print and electronic media focusing on information technology and higher education with plans to cover the EDUCAUSE 2006 Annual Conference in their publications are welcome to request complimentary media credentials for registration.

Omdat ik deze weblog voor de Edutrip bijhoud, heb ik hier een aanvraag voor ingediend. Een paar dagen later, kreeg ik van Peter DeBlois het volgende antwoord:

Thank you for your request, Gerard. Normally, I restrict complimentary media credentials for the annual conference to representatives of majorprint and electronic publications that cover IT and higher ed. However,because of your thoroughly set up Edutrip blog and wiki spaces, as wellas your connection to SURF, an international friend-organization of EDUCAUSE, I am prepared on a trial basis for this year to authorize acomplimentary registration for you. I do not, at this point, mean thisto be a precedent.

Dat is natuurlijk een mooi compliment voor de wiki en de blog. Hopelijk kan ik op deze manier nog beter verslag leggen van de Educause.

Over mijzelf

Mijn naam is Gerard DÃ¼mmer, werk op de Hogeschool Domstad en ben dit jaar Edublogger voor de Edutrip 2006 naar de Educause in Dallas. Op deze weblog vind je allerhande zaken die te maken hebben met de Educause. Dit is het eerste jaar dat Surf werkt met een edublogger. Tips zijn daarom ook van harte welkom.
